Gargano is a beautiful area located in northeast south Italy inside the wonderful (and big) Apulia region.

Gargano is also called the "spur" of Italy, the "boot state" and is famous for several things: for the beauty of his seaside villages (such as Peschici, Vieste, Mattinata or Monte Sant Angelo),

the Foresta Umbra area, a woodland made of aleppo pines of mediterranean maquis vegetation that end on wonderful cliffs over the blue waters of adriatic sea, and last but not least for the world famous catholic sanctuary of San Giovanni Rotondo, native home of Saint Padre Pio da Pietralcina, that every year is destination of many pilgrims.

Everything is under Foggia province, the chief town of the Gargano area.

Even if I live in north italy (Bologna), Gargano is for me a "second home". My mother is born in Ischitella, a little village perched on a hill surrounded by the sea. So, I visit Gargano every year, every summer from 35 years.

For this reason I think I have the proper knowledge as photograph to capture the essence of these places and also I think to have a great collection of material made in years of travels.
